Młodzi w ochotniczych strażach pożarnych

Abstrakt

Artykuł przedstawia sytuację młodzieży w ochotniczych strażach pożarnych, czyli oddolnym ruchu społecznym, na którym opiera się w Polsce nie tylko bezpieczeństwo przeciwpożarowe i szeroko rozumiane ratownictwo, ale także społeczeństwo obywatelskie w małych społecznościach Polski lokalnej. Punktem wyjścia są wyniki badań ochotniczych straży pożarnych i młodzieży w nich działającej z 2021 roku, przeprowadzonych w ramach projektu Związku Ochotniczych Straży Pożarnych Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej „OSP – potencjał młodych”. Specyfikę ochotniczego ruchu strażackiego zestawiono w artykule z całym sektorem pozarządowym w Polsce, a także odniesiono do relacji z podstawowymi partnerami strażaków ochotników – reprezentującą rząd Państwową Strażą Pożarną i samorządem gminnym. Głównym celem autorów jest pokazanie problemów, potencjału i perspektyw rozwoju młodych ludzi w ochotniczych strażach pożarnych, a także naświetlenie zmian, które zachodzą w strażackim ruchu ochotniczym w Polsce.

Young people in volunteer fire brigades

Abstract

The article presents the situation of young people in volunteer fire brigades, a grass-roots social movement on which fire safety, broadly understood rescue, as well as civil society actions in small local communities in Poland, are based. The starting point are the results of a research on volunteer fire brigades and young people who work in them, conducted in 2021 as part of the project of the Association of Volunteer Fire Brigades of the Republic of Poland „OSP – the potential of youth”. In the article the specificity of the volunteer firefighting movement is compared with the entire non-governmental sector in Poland. In addition, the relationships with the main partners of volunteer firefighters: the State Fire Service that represent the government and the local government have been discussed. The main goal of the authors is to highlight problems, potential and prospects of young people in volunteer fire brigades, as well changes that are taking place in the volunteer fire brigades in Poland.
